The board of directors of the Dooleys Catholic Club, Lidcombe proposed to remove a reference to promoting cooperation among Catholics from the objects of the club, calling it “both redundant and unintentionally limiting”.

Mr Mantle has no plans for any other immediate revisions to the Catholic provisions of the club’s constitution.
Dooleys directors must be Catholic, but Mr Mantle had not anticipated that this rule would change, as changes to the board’s eligibility rules require the approval of life members.
