The electoral alliance is essential for the protection of the constitution: Dr Shashank Koirala

CHITWAN: Dr. Shashank Koirala, a member of the central committee of the Nepalese Congress, said that the alliance between the ruling coalition parties is necessary for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.
Speaking to the media here today, he shared that although the NC could fight alone in the elections, there was a need to forge an electoral alliance for the protection of the constitution, development and stability of the country.
The NC leader said: “There is also a coalition government. It will be easier to opt for an electoral alliance.
He however claimed that 100 seats should be awarded to the NC in the election if an alliance is forged in the election.
Chief Koirala mentioned that it is necessary to be united to compete with the CPN (UML) in the elections, adding that all the political parties will go for these elections of the HoR and the provincial assemblies by making an electoral alliance with another party .
Meanwhile, NC central committee member Pradeep Poudel stressed the need to establish a roadmap from distributing tickets to winning candidates in the elections.
