Interior Minister Khand Says Safeguarding Constitution and Citizens is Government’s Top Priority

KATMANDU: Interior Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said that safeguarding the Constitution and protecting the life and property of the people is the first and foremost responsibility of the state.
During a program held in Bhairahawa on Monday, Minister Khand, who visited his home district, Rupandehi, for the first time after taking up his ministerial post, said: “The primary responsibility of the state is to safeguard the Constitution and protect the life of the people ”.
During the congratulatory program, Minister Khand showed respect to the coalition parties and noted that NC was working with additional responsibilities. The unity and cooperation of all parties could only move the country forward on the path of development, Minister Khand said during the program.
The interior minister said he had already urged the finance minister, the deputy chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC) and officials from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply to manage well Belhiya checkpoint.
