FAIRMONT, W.Va. – My Health System, the Marion County Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the expansion of My Health Primary Care and Cardiology and to introduce specialist services in Grand Fairmont area.
The new location is in the Fairmont Technology Park, located just off I-79.
“I have been honored to serve in the state legislature representing the citizens of Marion and Monongalia counties for the past 3 decades, ensuring that our citizens and the surrounding communities continue to have a real choice of ‘where they get their health care,’ Mon Health Medical said. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center and former senator, Roman Prezioso. “At Mon Health, our vision and mission is to provide accessible, affordable and quality care near their homes to the citizens of Marion County. We look forward to expanding our services here in the Fairmont Technology Park and with our new hospital in Whitehall to keep healthcare local for our patients. “
The new convenient location includes an expanded clinical office space for Mon Health primary care doctors. Marilyn Bonfili and Lisa Flower and Mon Health cardiologists and vascular cardiologists now seeing patients in the technology park office.
“We are delighted to continue to provide residents of the Grand Fairmont with excellent medical care close to home from the trusted My Health providers they already know in their neighborhood here and soon in Whitehall at our new hospital,” said said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon. Health system. “Not only are we here to celebrate our new multi-specialty clinic, but also to accept a generous cash donation from the Fairmont Regional Healthcare Foundation to expand care here at Fairmont.
The Regional Healthcare Foundation, which was once part of the original Fairmont Regional Hospital which was acquired by Alecto, has chosen to provide funds to Mon Health to continue serving the needs of the Marion County community.
The organization presented Mon Health with a check for $ 200,000 at the event.
“With this investment donation of $ 200,000 from the Fairmont Regional Healthcare Foundation, we are transferring the legacy of improved healthcare in Marion County to the My Health Medical Center Foundation. This donation ensures that the leadership and responsibility for the continuous improvement of Marion County health care will be continued through My Health by our donors over the years, making donations to advance care in Marion County. The actions and progress that My Health has shown honor the wishes of our donors and keep these funds where they belong in Marion County, â€said Nick Fantasia, President of the Fairmont Regional Foundation.
