KATMANDU: The chairman of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, has accused the government of following the party policy and not the constitution.
Addressing the RPP district convention held in the meeting hall of the district coordinating committee, Mahottari, he questioned the government for introducing the ordinance to facilitate the party split.
RPP chairman Lohani also accused mainstream parties like the Nepalese Congress, CPN-UML and the Maoist Center that claim to be progressive parties of being regressive and engaging in reactionary activities.
He also expressed concern about the ineffectiveness of the Abuse of Authority Commission of Inquiry and said it had taken action against junior staff and accomplices rather than the mastermind behind the corruption.
Stating that his party and the people of the country are in need of a constitutional monarchy, Lohani said the RPP will always strive for national integrity and nationalism.
He reiterated that the monarchy should be revived by changing the constitution.
