The The Historical Society of Rome, a local museum and research library dedicated to the preservation, collection, presentation and interpretation of local history, is looking for presenters for public programs in 2022 to share their knowledge and insight. passion for community history, according to a city and local council announcement. cultural organization.

Free public programs are offered on the third Wednesday of each month, covering a wide variety of local history topics.

If you have researched a specific topic or have specialized knowledge of the local history of Rome, you can present a program for the Society, according to the announcement. Previous programs were recorded and made available at Facebook.com/romehistorical.

Upcoming shows will take place on Zoom and stream on Facebook until in-person programming can safely resume.
